Understanding Article 226

WRIT REMEDIES IN PLAIN ENGLISH

When the Government or Police violates your rights, the High Court is your only shield. We help you file Writ Petitions to get immediate justice.

Easy Guide

In simple words, a Writ is a formal "Command" issued by a High Court or the Supreme Court to a government official or a lower court.

  • Why do you need it? If the Police refuse to help, or if a Govt Office passes a wrong order, or if your property is taken illegally, you approach the High Court under Article 226.

  • How fast is it? Unlike regular cases that take years, a Writ can get you a 'Stay Order' or 'Protection' in just a few days if the matter is urgent.

Know Your Rights

High Court (Art. 226)

Every citizen can move the High Court (Lucknow Bench for Ayodhya) to protect their Fundamental Rights or any other legal right.

Power of Watch (Art. 227)

The High Court also has the power to oversee all lower courts and correct big mistakes in their judgment.

The Process
1

Detailed Case Analysis

We study which fundamental right or legal right (Art 14, 19, 21) was broken by the authority.

2

Drafting & Filing

We draft a powerful petition in English, explaining the injustice to the High Court judges.

3

Hearing & Interim Stay

The most critical step! We argue for an immediate 'Stay Order' to stop the injustice right away.

Real-life examples where we have helped clients secure justice through High Court Petitions.

Illegal Demolition

"If authorities give a notice to break your shop or house without giving you a proper hearing."

Police Harassment

"When police refuses to file your FIR or harasses you illegally to settle a civil case."

Govt Job Issues

"If you are arbitrarily suspended, or your pension is stopped without following the law."

License/NOC Denial

"When a department refuses to grant a license or NOC even though you meet all requirements."

High Court Petitions are powerful but have strict rules. Please avoid these mistakes.

"The Judges may reject your file instantly if:"

  • !

You haven't tried smaller offices first

If there is a smaller court or tribunal for your problem, judge will ask you to go there first.

  • !

    You are too late (Laches)

If you wait for months or years after the problem started, the High Court will not help you.

  • !

    You hid the Truth

If you hide any detail from the Court, the judge can fine you heavily and reject the case.

Can I sue the Government if they don't do their work?
Yes! That is exactly what a **Writ of Mandamus** is for. If an official refuses to do their duty, the High Court will order them to do it.
What if the Court is a bit far from Ayodhya?
Most Writ Petitions for Ayodhya are filed in the **Lucknow Bench** of the Allahabad High Court. It is the designated court for cases from Ayodhya, Faizabad, and nearby districts. We handle the entire process for you.
